I was always wondering what it feels like to be a blogger....So here goes nothing. On the topic of twitter and all of these social networks, is it really beneficial to our social well being...? lol seriously.
When you have to communicate with others in a virtual space it’s kind of strange...while no one is actually reading what you type unless you are a celeb...big up's to Aston Cusher for having like a gazillion followers btw...lol to me it seems as though we are all internet mad people talking to ourselves while trying to seem cool. The thought actually crossed my mind that in some cases we are exposing ourselves to such a great extent to the cyber world that our safety is threatened...
Take for example the posting of pictures in the fashion where it can be copied by any person and saved on a average pc...or even tweeting about your general whereabouts like (Start Tweet) I'm about to go to the beach (End Tweet) lol
How about if you walk past a person on the street early in the morning at rush hour and say to them "Good morning" and they don’t reply when in the good old days not speaking to someone in a mannerly fashion was considered as an insult, in some countries was dealt with stiff punishment....Are our gadgets and gismos of this new age taking over our morals and valueswhatever happened to the days?Yet Still I am guilty of it all lol u be the judge

ReplyDeletehaha knew u had to try it
ReplyDeletewhat ever dude
ReplyDeletei think its a complicated web of self vanity....thats all it really is
ReplyDeletewe post photos for comments to inflate our egos [or deflate them considering that a large number of persons who post pics are facially disadvantaged lol]...but this is why F-Book and MySpace thrive....innately, people want to be reassured of the very views they hold of themselves and feel very warm and fuzzy inside when thier pics receive compliments. This is seen by the way we evaluate a 'good' pic and a 'bad' one.... a large percentage of persons would not post 'embarrassing' pics online because of the comments that would be received. For example, an obese woman of good sense would not post herself in a bikini because accord. to societal standards, she would look horrible. A chick with an hourglass would ebcause she knows that according to majoral Western societal standards, she would be praised. So what does all of this mean? It goes to show that the virtual world of social networking exists to feed our perceptions of ourselves, and it might not necessarily be such a good thing...
