Science vs. Religion

Today I want to talk about humanity's constant search for the truth when it comes to the man upstairs as well as the mysteries which went into creating the universe. I doubt there is anyone in this generation even though they have tried, who can say they have solved these mysteries through scientific observations. However, what we do have are general hypothesis as well as discoveries by men such as Albert Einstein just to name a few who set out on amazing ventures putting us a little closer to enlightenment. In more recent times, there has been an elite few who have set out to raise the bar in creating devices and instruments on the scientific side of the spectrum to hopefully reveal certain truths. As adequate and helpful some of these discoveries might be, if put under a microscope the slightest failure can result in a catastrophic and ultimately destruction of the universe as we know it.

Let's take for example the Hadron Collider, which can be found in the depths of an underground tunnel in Switzerland. This 1.7 billion dollar European Instrument is the largest. most powerful piece of scientific equipment ever devised by man. Covering some 27 Km in circumt~rence, it is designed to take Hadrons, large chunks of sub-atomic matter that used to belong to full atoms, spin them up to speeds approaching the speed of light through a tunnel coated with magnets. It is then cooled to the coldest temperatures on earth, and smashed together in a test chamber in an effort to see what happens. This smashing together of atoms liberates huge amounts of energy, but is fortunately so small that the energy doesn't wipe out half of Switzerland. Or so they might think. Quite simply put. this machine seeks to recreate what scientist think has actually occurred in the creation of the universe and even further thinking that it would someday open the clouds creating a pathway to heaven.

On the religious side of the spectrum, I was always told from inception that similar to a car or any type of machinery the human existence should be guided and govern by an instruction manual. In this manual lies all the explanations and mysteries of the world and its magnificent Creator. This is where the problem arises. Many people cluestion the account of activities written by men who were simply inspired by the man upstairs. Some say that this book 'The Bible' is nothing more than the writings of simple men and throughout the passage of time have filtered down from generations to generation translated into different versions. How then does an instrument such as this still have the capability to guide the entire human race? The mere fact that God holds the title of infinite wisdom and knowledge should dawn on our intelligence that he wouldn't allow interference with the instrument which guides his people. Omitting this important part of the puzzle can over time result in a breakdown of certain parts of the vessel which we call mankind. Take a look at the great nation of America for instance, who has completely omitted the bible as well as prayers out of their educational system. This act seems to have sparked a flame of rebellion through the fabric of youth in the society resulting in a series of unfortunate events in the last few years.


From day to day this constant struggle exists in the minds of everyone as some lean in one direction or another trying to pin point the truth about existence. While others omit to jump on the band wagon of either side trying to stay neutral in this constant tug of war as to who is right and who is wrong.

Size Does Matter!

It seems as though there is a revolutionary transformation happening on my television. Up late last night I couldn’t help but notice a parade of what we now consider 'plus size women', posing in a commercial for a well known clothing store. Much to my delight these women had the same charisma and grace of their slimmer more favored counterparts. But the debate is still heated in the mouths of men about their preference……plus size and robust vs. slim and trim……well to each his own…However I have also realized that during the latter part of the 21st century there has been an up springing of full figured women in media generally….Long gone are the days when the protrusion of a rib cage was considered as the only way to go when it comes to sex appeal…. Even though the demand for the slim frame to grace the run ways on the international scene is high there is some type of balance being shown.

My purpose for this edition is to mainly state firmly that I have always been a firm believer of equality. Now as I have learned in school, a representation of anything should strike a balance between everything. Contrary to this notion the representation of a model in the past was always considered to be a person of a tall stature as well as a slim hard frame…..Leaving others to question their worth and purpose in this web of selected elites. Funny enough we can see the emergence of shows such as dance your ass off, the biggest looser as well as the selection of plus sized models in the running to be America’s Next Top Model (ANTM). These shows wisely promote equality while somehow looking at the aspect of health which is a necessity for a long and vital life for any individual….

One can take their hats off to persons such as beyonce, Jill Scott, India ire….just to name a few who have been instrumental in what is considered as the face of change.
So the next time you see a couple of ‘big girls’ strutting their stuff on your television know that they are human just like you……and they need love too.

Movie Blog Buster (Anti Piracy)

In this edition of ‘Movie Blog Buster’ we know very well that there are some persons who head to theaters with their camcorders and record these movies and upload them to the internet via some file sharing websites...then there are the folks who get a higher quality movie direct from the screener....then there are the individuals who leek out parts of the film before it is actually finished which are called (Work Print) as was done with the recent film wolverine....and then there is the final set of folks who actually rip an original DVD and put it on the same torrent sites for uploading.......

However the question is…can we really stop piracy in a technological world where the accessibility of information is endless? This question mark of piracy even stems as far as the music industry where certain singers are struggling with album sales only to find their music in a play list on the internet for free downloading…..When it comes to movies I have realized that when you pirate these films it takes away from the quality of the actually film because some of them are made especially for the widescreen. The process of uploading a video image from a video camera after it records a movie alters the image….This act of piracy never goes unnoticed however since there has been a recent charge against a Jammie Thomas a young woman who downloaded a total of 24 songs. And is now charged a whopping figure of over $80,000 per song

Gary Wade Leak, a Sony lawyer who was a star witness for the RIAA in the trial said that even he is "shocked" by the amount of money Thomas is now being forced to pay, a gigantic $1.92 million sum……Now I know you guys are going to be asking me what is the RIAA and what is their duty in this whole shin dig

This governing body is only a fraction of the individuals who police the world of media to protect. I urge you not to end up a casualty.

So this summer please go and watch these films in theaters and lets work against piracy.

Hey Bloggsters, still green on this blogging scene I was itching to do a little something on the great MJ…..I was on this website NME and I found an article about MJ that really got me thinking…simply because some people been acting a fool.

"Michael Jackson's Father Joe appeared on TV in the US, and was blaming his son’s doctor for his death. Joe Jackson went on Larry King’s show on CNN (July 20) and said that cardiologist Dr. Conrad Murray gave him something to make him rest, and then he don't wake up no more. Something is wrong there.” He also said that the doctor fled after Jackson’s death and it took investigators three days to find him. "This doctor, he ran away. They had to look for him three days to find him. To me that is foul play," Joe Jackson said. Several bottles of propofol were found in Jackson's home following his passing. The drug is usually only administered in hospitals. Dr. Murray has already been interviewed by police. He is not a suspect, but is a person of interest as he was the one who tried to revive Jackson at his home on June 25. His car was seized as police wanted to search it for drugs. Michael Jackson passed away on June 25 after suffering cardiac arrest. The toxicology report is due next week"

Now the circumstances surrounding MJ’s death is not the thing that I question, what puzzles me is the fact that it has been said from the mouth of Michael that he was abused by his father. MJ even talked about it on the Oprah Winfrey show stating that his dad used to lock him up in a dark room if he thought that his performance was not up to standard. Not to mention the severe ill treatment of MJ’s other siblings……Now at 10 years old you are simply looking to enjoy your childhood and learn certain things about life that would be beneficial to you in the future…and in my opinion MJ was simply Robbed of a natural childhood……Faced with this constant pressure it caused him to make some decisions that were questionable…such as the reconfiguration of his skin and face…However one need to look at the significant contribution to the entertainment world not to mention the Truck loads of money given to a variety of charities by this man…It has even been recorded in the Guinness book of world records that the most money ever given to charity by an individual was done my none other than Michael…..And you bloggers know by now that I am a bit passionate when it comes to this hole issue of race….Now back in the day there was tons of racial tension and discrimination especially towards black people…and MJ simply created a bridge between all the different races through his music….as well as empower youngsters such as Usher, ginuwine, Chris Brown just to name a few to follow in his footsteps….Come on people wake up…!! How about the umpteen acres of land MJ dedicate to the famous (Never Never Land Ranch) which was simply a haven for little kids to go and have fun…being something Michael never had as a child..

To be faced with such harsh treatment from a parent at such a young age then to still maintain such an outstanding track record in the contributions he made to the world is simply commendable…

Now what is the deal about Obama's Nationality?

Breaking news for all my blog heads...there has been a big buzz about the recent questionmark of President Obama's nationality. In a recent youtube video entitled 'Mike Castle on PeeBo's Birthcertificate' a caucasian woman passionately speaks about the fact that her father fought in world war 2 and that she is 100% American...All these statements were followed by her saying that she doesnt think that present Obama is fit to run America because he is a Kenyan...

Now to me personally i dont think that Nationality should matter at such a late stage of the presidency especially since the country of America is faced with faults in their health care system, conflict with al qaeda and not to mention the ever present recession which was left by dumb ass Bush...!! In the 21st Century we need to realise that this is the age in which the issue of race is a thing of the past and get to the real issues such as a solution to the enviornmental polution and an alternative energy source other than OIL...

what the world needs right now is a president like Obama who with such a mixed heritage would create some type of a balance interms of who the world looks up to for leadership.....Omg i could go on and on with this from so many angles but it's time to sleep...im bloggin at 4 in the am
